Young Brenda

Young Brenda

Young Brenda has a tongue ring.

And by the look on Dad’s face you can tell that’s not a fun thing.

See she is only thirteen, and she’s at the helm of flirting,

Daddy is trying to nip it before she gets curious with men

And wants to do a little something-something.

Graduating from flirting to dating,

Then dating instinctively turns into mating

But worst than her losing her virginity,

It’s not the only point of concern,

But being young, growing up fast, and rushing to have sex lessons learned

She’s skipping steps…Daddy’s trying to intercept before it hits the point

Of no-return, not to mention unprotected sex makes high risk for STD’s

That itch, puss or burn. And if this moron got it from being sexually reckless

He’s going to pass the baton and say, Here it is…”Your turn”

See she’s looking for love in all the wrong places,

Coupled with the fact she’s under-educated

And the crazy hair styles and piercing and tattoos in weird places

Are just hiding her emotional scars-

One day she’s going to meet a slick talker with more game than she has

And have her jumping in and out of cars

While he’s beating her ass down, he’s teaching her to shoot for the moon

And hope that she will touch some stars.

Tricking her into dates with strange men,

In alley ways of night clubs or drinking bars

In my approach, I am trying to sit you down and explain to you

You need a life coach my male point of view is I assume dude is just poking you because you told him you have a nice choache.

But, Brenda is in another dimension…

Crack babies are having babies now

And their kids are in need of special attention.

Some of them lack the knack of passion

To climb the corporate ladders and crack the imaginary glass ceilings.

Is hard to be pontificating after that last meal ends

And your hungry, you have no dough plus life is boring and uneventful.

If you fail to plan you have to know your planning to fail

I hate to end the story by telling you daddy went to jail

Her Dad beat the devil out of the hard headed Brenda and condemns her to hell.

He said no child of mine will put her tail up for sale.

Moral of the story: I brought you in this world, I can take you out little girl!

American College Student

American College Student

The life of a college student

In the mood to be rude with his or her upward movements

Body dragging from the feelings of wanting to crash

Popping No Doz and chasing it with caffeine in class

Anything to get this lesson

Fall asleep or miss something if you want

My notes are for rent

I’m trying to recoup something

From all this time and energy and effort that I spent

Call me an opportunist or capitalist

But I’m serious, and that’s free advice…

I gave that up for lent

Besides we’re colleagues with the same opportunities

And I don’t owe you shit

I’m just a realist

The game isn’t meant…

To be told but sold

Let’s be clear!!!

I’m trying to get mines

If you aren’t then what are you doing here?

We are all consumers, even teachers

A professor said you want to excel in my class

Buy my book to pass

Knowing more makes you slicker than the average

Savage In the pursuit of happiness

Life is hard I’m sad to say

You can pout or smile

But, no one cares either way

But you have to do what ever it takes to survive

But that’s the learned behavior in the U.S. of A.
